“La Bamba” is a worthless song

    Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

If you would have told musical genius Buddy Holly, J.P. Richardson aka music’s “The Big Bopper” and Ritchie Valen’s prior to their boarding of their V-Tail Beechcraft Bonanza at Mason City Municipal Airport, the most lasting artifact of their three storied careers that the most well-known song of these three esteemed and treasured musicians would […]

    Sometimes, I write timely things

    Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

In Estonia this morning, a 29-year-old woman was killed when she was struck by one of her planes propeller blades while attempting to complete a sky-diving jump.

In the process, she helped me answer my tough to decide question of: “Which Northern European Republic would I least like to attempt sky-diving in?”
    Estonia.

    I envy these guys…

Only thing stopping her now is the Judean People’s Front crack suicide squad

Sue Jones-Davis, best known to me as  “Judith” from one of my all-time favorite films Monty Python’s epic Life of Brian (which is FAAAR superior to Holy Grail, despite what many an uncultured fan-boy might argue), has been elected mayor of the forgettable and unpronounceable mid-Wales town of Aberystwyth.
Her first duty as mayor is a […]

Let’s Put a Smile On Your Face!

    Saturday, July 19th, 2008

    Holy Eff!!!
Yesterday, aka opening day (nerd-alert!) my roommate Devin and I caught a mid-day matinée of the movie of the millennium THE DARK KNIGHT. Since it is still so new, I will not reveal anything about the movie, except that you MUST go and see it. It is out-of-this-world amazing. Hyperbole warranted and necessary.
    Such a […]

    I Miss Phil Hartman

    Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

Andy Dick. Once someone whose bizarre, sometimes disturbing, antics caused us to laugh and sing upon him heaps of praise and potentially, has perhaps taken one of the final steps into the abyss that is complete and total unfixable despair and pain. In recent years seeming evidence of Dick’s drug addicted lifestyle have turned […]

I Dare You Not To Smile

This would traditionally be a Rockworms link, but we are currently in the midst of re-vamping the site and it will instead get posted here.
    Enjoy!

    Things That Scare Me

    Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

A few days back, I was in the opening stages of writing my new collection of to-be-published essays, entitled Girls That I Liked (available….someday) when out of the blue, I was struck with the thought: “Wow….I am scared of lots of stuff.” This revelation led me to think about all of the abnormal and inappropriate […]

Kimmel & Silverman Split; Nerdboys Rejoice with Renewed Hope.

    Monday, July 14th, 2008

What happens when you throw a formerly Larry Sanders Show starring, SNL writing, hate-speaking, everyday funny woman Jew and a former game show announcing, Aurora-hotel urine foot-soaking late night talk show host into a 5-year non-commitment based relationship?
    They break up.

Today, my friends at Gawker broke the news that my favorite “Hollywood” couple, comedians Sarah Silverman […]

    The Picture of Dorian Gray

    Thursday, July 10th, 2008

…looks like one of the most un-interesting reads in the world.
Paintings can’t age. Oscar Wilde is stupid.

    Unsettling Advertising

    Thursday, July 10th, 2008

You know those dumb little animated ads that are often found cluttering up the corners of the internet, trying to coerce you into clicking on them by challenging your internet-inflated masculinity to some game of skill (usually something mildly racially insensitive like, “Kill The Brown Ones” or some updated version of boardwalk games like Whack-A-Pink […]

    Sardonic - I Knows This

    Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Earlier tonight I was performing a short stand-up set down at HA! Comedy Club in Times Square when for no good reason, I decided to implement the word “sardonic” into a sentence describing the stupidity of telling someone “thanks for the dance” after doing that awkward which-way-are-you-going-to-walk-oh-you-are-going-to-walk-that-way-so-I’ll-
    go-this-way-wait-no-you-are-coming-my-way-I’ll-move-now sequence. I don’t know why I used it. […]

    It was a bad choice.

    Hispanics Love Steve Martin

    Sunday, July 6th, 2008

Right now, my next door neighbors of indescribable Latin-American descent are in near-to-full blown hysterics of the antics of a Mr. Steve Martin in the film Father of the Bride: Part 2. While I as well enjoy Martin and the Father of the Bride series, I am in mild shock as to their level of […]

    Weiner Munchin’ Time!

    Friday, July 4th, 2008

Happy Fourth of July America!! Well actually Happy Fourth of July to ALL Planet Earth, but for the sad 191 (or 190…or 189, all that Vatican City/Switzerland/Taiwan nonsense really screws with the counting) non AMERICAN countries, it is just another dumb ‘ol day. But here in AMERICA…IT’S INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!! JULY 4!!! GO BILL PULLMAN, […]
